Mik Patrik (they/them) is a transmedia artist born and raised in St.Louis, Missouri, where they recieved their BFA in Studio Art and a Minor in Women, Gender, Sexuality Studies at Washington University in St.Louis. They devoted their time at university to gaining skills for digital and hands-on fabrication. In light of the isolation of the COVID-19 pandemic, they became deeply involved in their university’s maker spaces where they served as a shop tech, community leader, and general-purpose muscle. They are an avid woodworker with a passion for practical and conceptual design, and love providing aid for those of all experience levels wanting to work with their hands. Mik is a self-proclaimed spiritual yet skeptical person who uses their art to investigate different froms of ritual and mythology. They find rituals of labor fulfilling and generative as a part of their community and self. A majority of their practice deals with themes of spiritually, conception, and sacred human sexuality.

Since graduating Mik has been traveling the world, oscillating between farming and working at hostels where they  expereince new communities and cultures outside of Midwestern America. Currently, Mik is back in St.Louis seeking new opportunities.
