Mik Patrik (they/he) is a transmedia artist born and raised in St.Louis, Missouri, where they recieved their BFA in Studio Art and a Minor in Women, Gender, Sexuality Studies at Washington University in St.Louis. They devoted their time at university to gaining skills for digital and hands-on fabrication. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, they became deeply involved in their university’s maker spaces where they served as a shop technician and community leader. Mik is an avid woodworker and artist with a passion for craftsmanship.
Mik uses his art to investigate different froms of sacred rituals and bodies. A majority of their practice deals with themes of spiritually, conception, alienation, and sacred human sexuality.
Since graduating Mik has honed their skills in historic carpentry, technical drawing, and painting, as the shop manager for a business specializing in fabricating historic doors, windows and custom woodwork. Currently, Mik is in St.Louis seeking new opportunities to make art. They are open to any opportunity that allows them to learn and become part of the tattoo industry.
